The Big Island
Description:
View the molten lava up-close and personal as it pours from the volcano into the sea! The spectacular scenes of lava entering the sea along Kilauea's shoreline draws millions of people to Hawai`i who are hoping to witness for themselves growth of new land and experience the remarkable interaction of lava and water. Our comfortable tour boats offer a variety of boat tours to the lava on a daily basis, weather permitting of course. Our two most popular lava boat tours are the charters that allow after-dark or before-sunrise lava viewing. The sunrise tour departs early from Pohoiki (or Isaac Hale) beach park in the dark to arrive at the lava tube before sunrise. The sunset lava tour departs in the late afternoon to reach the lava tube right before the sun sinks below the horizon. Whether you are an early bird or if you prefer the sunset atmosphere, both of these tours are a must! If you prefer not to have a tour in the dark we also have great daytime tours that make for excellent photo taking. Tours are 2.5 hours round trip. Please email or call for current schedule. Seating is limited!

Lava Boat Tours
Please join us on our adventure boat tours to see molten lava flowing into the ocean from Hawaii's Kilauea Volcano. Kilauea (on the Big Island of Hawaii), is considered to be the most active volcano in the world! (Weather permitting) we offer four tours a day to the active lava field, two of which include lava viewing in the dark. Our unique boat tour offers a front-row seat to the awesome fireworks display of our active volcano!
Our boat tour is a short 30 - 40 minute ride from Isaac Hale Beach Park (Pohoiki) to the active lava fields. We then spend one to one-and-a-half hours viewing the spectacular lavascapes. Imagine watching red-hot, liquid, molten magma pouring down the side of the volcano into the sea, creating a dramatic spectacle of steam, boiling sea water and exploding lava!
