This tour departs from the Kona side of the Big Island and tracks over to the Eastern side of the island and back, covering all of the main highlights on the entire island. You will see waterfalls, lava tubes, the Scenic Saddle Road and much, much more. Highlights include:
*The breathtaking Akaka Falls
*Rainbow Falls
*The Mauna Loa Macadamia Orchard and Visitor's Center. Taste the different flavored varieties of macadamia nuts and other treats.
*Walk into a large lava tube created by Mauna Loa’s 1881 eruption.
*A drive across the saddle road with Mauna Loa’s wide-open, rugged lava fields created in the 1800’s.
*Stop at the Mauna Kea Visitor's Center (Onizuka Center for International Astronomy Visitor Information Station) at 9,200 ft
*A drive past Hawaii's famous Parker Ranch.
*There will be a stop made to purchase lunch. Your guide will help you pick the perfect place for you.
